ICYMI: Chronis featured in "Faces of the GOP" Newsletter

The Republican Party of Virginia released a profile of Jennifer Chronis in their "Faces of the GOP" newsletter, which highlights the amazing Republican candidates up for election this year. I’m very excited about the candidacy of Jennifer Chronis, our Fairfax County Board of Supervisors candidate for the Dranesville District. Jennifer has an impressive record of achievement, and will bring proven, results-oriented leadership to Fairfax County.

Jennifer is a patriot who is dedicated to serving our country. She was a US Army officer for 21 years, including 11 on Active Duty, retiring as a Lt Colonel in 2010. During her Army career, Jennifer served in Operation Desert Shield / Desert Storm with the 82d Airborne Divsion, the Bosnia peacekeeping mission, and was mobilized as a Reservist in 2004 to support Operation Enduring Freedom.

After completing her Active Duty Army service, Jennifer joined IBM in 2001, rising to the position of Vice President with responsibility for leading the company’s Department of Defense business unit. Throughout her business career, Jennifer has been accountable for financial results and willing to make tough decisions. Earlier this year, Jennifer made the “tough decision” to step away from her successful business career to devote herself full-time to running for office.

Most of all though, Jennifer is a dedicated wife and parent. Her husband, Brian Dickson is a Senior Vice President at the Society for Human Resource Management. She has two stepchildren, Jordan Principe and Riley Dickson, both of whom are graduates of Fairfax County Public Schools. Following Jennifer’s footsteps, Riley will soon receive his commission as 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army.

Jennifer is running to establish sensible priorities to the County budget, halt the Board’s continuous property tax increases, and improve the business climate in Fairfax County. She will bring tough, no-nonsense leadership to the Board. She will make the tough decisions to address the County’s economic and fiscal challenges, and get the County back on track.

The RPV is excited by the Dranesville District race because we have an excellent opportunity to unseat an entrenched Democrat incumbent in a District critical to winning Fairfax County. You may remember Jennifer’s opponent John Foust. He’s the guy Barbara Comstock beat by almost 16% due in part to his ridiculous, sexist comment that Barbara never had a “real job!” Well, I wonder if he thinks Jennifer has never had a real job...
