Great Falls, VA - Jennifer Chronis, the Republican nominee for Supervisor in the Dranesville District, has raised an unprecedented $59,273 since announcing her candidacy on February 11th.  The campaign’s first quarter fundraising is higher than that of any candidate for the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors in the same reporting period of both the 2015 and 2011 election.  Of the 181 total donations received, over 60% were from individuals giving $100 or less.

By comparison, her opponent, who has the advantage of incumbency, only managed to raise $30,265 indicating a low level of support throughout the district.

Chronis stated, ¨I am humbled by and grateful for the strong and broad support our campaign has received in just over six weeks.  It is clearly an indication that Dranesville voters are ready for new leadership.  Our campaign is about bringing stronger leadership to the Board of Supervisors to relieve the tax burden on our citizens, improve our business climate to grow the economy, reduce traffic congestion, and keep our schools the best in the country. “

After her highly successful campaign kick-off at the end of March, Chronis has officially taken a leave of absence from her executive position at IBM.  She looks forward to building upon her momentum as she continues to actively meet and listen to the concerns of Dranesville voters during her grassroots campaign.
