Great Falls, VA - Today, Jennifer Chronis, candidate for Dranesville District Supervisor, announced she had received the endorsement of Springfield District Supervisor Pat Herrity. Supervisor Herrity has been serving Fairfax County and the Springfield District since being elected in 2007.
Upon receiving Supervisor Herrity's endorsement Jennifer Chronis released the following statement:
"I am proud to have received Supervisor Herrity's endorsement. His common sense leadership on the Board of Supervisors is what we need more of. I look forward to working with him and the other members of the Board to keep Fairfax County the best place in the country to live, work, and raise a family."
Supervisor Patrick Herrity released the following statement:
“Over the last 8 years, I have been a consistent voice on the Board of Supervisors calling for common sense solutions and fiscal responsibility. This year, we have an opportunity to add another voice to that call - Jennifer Chronis.
“Jennifer Chronis is running to represent Dranesville District on the Board. I strongly encourage you to get to know Jennifer and believe you will be as impressed as I am with her public service, her business acumen, her leadership skills and her vision and ideas for the future of Fairfax County. She has my complete support and I am sure she will earn yours.
“Jennifer is a graduate of Fairfax County Public Schools and the University of Virginia. During her 20 years with the Army she rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel, serving 11 years on active duty and 10 years in the Army Reserve, including combat tours in Iraq and Bosnia. Jennifer joined IBM in 2001 and is the Vice President for their Department of Defense account. She also serves on the board of directors of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and has volunteered for the Literacy Council of Northern Virginia.
“As you can see, Jennifer is immensely qualified to be Supervisor. Dranesville District residents deserve a leader that has a vision and ideas, will get things done, and focus on priorities. I am excited about her candidacy and her drive and passion for service. It is not often that I send out letters on behalf of candidates, but I feel so strongly about Jennifer and her candidacy that I am giving her all the support I can. I hope you will join me in supporting this courageous leader as she works to represent the Dranesville District on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.”
