Veteran with Two Decades of Service to Our Country
Jennifer Chronis served our country for 21 years, 11 on active duty and 10 in the U.S. Army Reserve. While on active duty, she served twice in combat zones — first as one of a handful of female officers in the 82nd Airborne Division during Operations Desert Shield and Storm, and second as a Company Commander in Bosnia after the signing of the Dayton Peace Accord. While on active duty, she qualified as an Army parachutist and completed over 40 jumps throughout her career.
While an Army Reservist in 2004, she was mobilized for two years during Operation Enduring Freedom and helped build the Joint IED Defeat Organization. She retired from the Army Reserve in 2010 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
Proven Business & Technology Leader
In 2001, while still in the Army Reserve, Jennifer joined IBM as an account manager. She was quickly recognized for her leadership ability and strong work ethic and was regularly promoted.
Throughout her 14-year IBM career, she has managed a diverse portfolio of hardware, software, and consulting service business units ranging from $100 million-$700 million in annual revenues. Each role has required strong accountability for financial results, agility in adapting to highly dynamic business environments, and tough, responsible decision-making. Jennifer has been an IBM executive since 2011, and last served as a Vice President responsible for leading the company’s Department of Defense business unit.
